The Pediatric Council on Research and Education (PCORE) is the charitable arm of the American Academy of Pediatrics/New Jersey Chapter (AAP/NJ) that is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children in the state of New Jersey.

PCORE 's mission is accomplished by working to improve health policies and practices, and to educate parents and primary care providers on preventative health topics within the context of a Medical Home framework.

PCORE and its successful partnerships with local and state agencies help promote wellness and prevent illness, abuse, and neglect among children in New Jersey.

18th Annual School Health Conference- Registration Open!

The 18th Annual School Health Conference, sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics/NJ Chapter and the Children's Hospital at St. Peter's University Hospital will be held at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ on October 28, 2009.

Registration is available for download. Please fax or mail to AAP/NJ. Contact information is available on the registration form.

Golfers are truly dedicated. Over 50 golfers came out in the pouring rain on Monday, May 4, to support the Pediatric Council on Research and Education at our 5th Annual Golf Outing.

New Jersey to Launch New Statewide Effort to Promote Childhood Obesity Prevention

TRENTON – A unique coalition of health care providers and other stakeholders announced plans on Monday to convene an important groundbreaking summit on March 31st to provide professionals and other caregivers of children with practical hands-on guidance to help prevent childhood obesity in a child’s early years.

Princeton's 'Summit for Children's Health' report now available online

The Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton has posted its "Summit for Children's Health" report on their Web site. The Policy Research Institute for the Region (PRIOR) released the publication “Summit for Children’s Health in New Jersey," drawn from the conference held in the fall of 2008. Children’s health care in New Jersey continues to encounter serious challenges, as evidenced by the state’s bottom-quartile ranking in the Commonwealth Fund’s recent Child Health System Performance State Scorecard.
